POV is less a genre than a camera decision, but it changes a scene completely: there are no wide shots, the framing moves with whoever is holding the phone, and the performer looks into the lens rather than past it. It also has a practical advantage that explains why creators use it so often — one person can film a two-person scene with no crew and no tripod. Handheld footage is the norm here, with the shake that implies, and head-mounted rigs turn up occasionally. Oral scenes are heavily represented for the same geometric reason they dominate elsewhere. The trade-off is that the male performer is almost never visible, which is exactly what most of the audience wants.
